The Artemide light has never been solely a function of seeing, or an opportunity for formal experimentation with lamps as objects. For more than 40 years, the Artemide Group has aimed to propose light as a companion to people, as a source of physical pleasure and mental comfort.

Artemide offers the true essence of design for Interior lighting. The Artemide line includes design objects that made history and are presently in the most prestigious museums in the world, like the Tizio and Tolomeo task lamps, Logico, Melampo, Castore, and color-changing Metamorfosi. Other design classics that Artemide still produces include the unique Boalum, Nesso and Fatto. Over the years, many designers have created beautiful works of lighting art for Artemide, including Michele De Lucchi, Livio Castiglioni, Gianfranco Frattini, Vico Magistretti, Richard Sapper and Giancarlo Fassina. Ron Rezek's line of designs, including many wall sconces, bath lights and mirrors have been incorporated into the Artemide family.
