Product Description
The adjustable Alizz C. Cooper lamp by Ingo Maurer rocks!
Made of a high pressure water hose, Ingo Maurer's snake-like ceiling lamp bends and coils in all directions and uncoils to 126 inches. The head is an aluminum reflector concealing a single halogen bulb. Floor or table versions also offered.
The Alizz C. Cooper ceiling lamp is made of metal, plastic, rubber hose
The flexible arm allows variable adjustment of the reflector.
The reflector rotates through 360° around the bulb. A fine plastic string secures the position of the reflector. Canopy Ø 8,5 cm.
Max. 60 watts halogen, socket G9. Complete with bulb.
While developing the design, Maurer envisioned a lamp with a body which could be bent, wound, and tied into a knot – just like a water hose.
“For me it’s always important that lamps can be used in different ways, and aren’t made to suit just one room, or one type of furnishing in a room. Our products are designed for long-term use, which means people should want to use them even after moving home or redecorating”, emphasizes the designer. As well as being functional, the flexibility of this lamp, which is available as a ceiling, floor or table lamp, is also aesthetically pleasing: the bends and knots create a certain degree of visual energy in combination with the lamp’s clear contours.
And what fits in very well with this concept, adds Maurer, is "the hose’s design – black with the yellow wavy line”.
