The hand-folded sculptural pendant shade 101 were designed by architect Poul Christiansen between 1969 and 1978 and this model has been in continuous production by the Danish company Le Klint. The material is a color-stabilized white PVC which is completely washable and anti-static. All pendants include 5 feet of white cord. These use 1 X 100W standard base lightbulb. Model 101B measures 13 1/2" in diameter by 17 1/4" high. Model 101C measures 16 1/2" in diameter by 21" high.
Le Klint is true "Danish Modern". Since 1953 the hand-folded sculptural pendant shades from Le Klint have been designed by an impressive list of designers and architects and have been in continuous production. Like many other design icons of the 1960's, Le Klint pendants are now enjoying renewed popularity as "Modern Classics".
