The Model 1 pendant light form Le Klint was designed by Tage Klint. He was creative entrepreneur who in 1943 chose to turn the family’s artistically folded lamp shades into a regular business. Tage Klint also added a crucial detail to the original shades; the unique “collar” at the top of the lamp, designed to fix the shade to the metal stand. Furthermore, he designed a number of lamps which have all been a part of LE KLINT’s assortment.
Since 1953 the hand-folded sculptural pendant shades from Le Klint have been designed by an impressive list of designers and architects and have been in continuous production. Like many other design icons of the 1960's, Le Klint pendants are now enjoying renewed popularity as "Modern Classics". The material is a color-stabilized white PVC which is completely washable and anti-static. All pendants include 5 feet of white cord.
