It is hard to do the LED table by Ingo Maurer justice just by describing it and showing a small photo. This magnificent piece has to be seen to be truly appreciated. The table has 278 white LEDs embedded between two sheets of safety glass with no visible wiring. The LEDs appear to be suspended in air and emit light through both sides of the glass giving the massive glass a weightless feel. I was fortunate enough to visit the Euroluce fair a couple a years ago, where Ingo Maurer introduced his tables at his private show in Milan. It was a breathtaking view!
The metal bases are adjustable in height and can hold one, two, or three pieces of LED imbedded glass. Weight with 1 piece of glass is about 240kg. (2: 360kg, 3: 500kg)
