The Justice Design Sun Dagger Small Cylinder Sconce is part of their Sun Dagger Collection. This Collection is characterized by unique openings in the back that illuminate your wall with a soft fan-shaped pattern "Sun Daggers".
Form + Function was THE first distributor of Sun Dagger sconces. Jeff Lawrence, from Los Alamos NM, introduced his prototypes to us in the mid eighties and we absolutely loved them. Many, many Sun Dagger Sconces later we are still going strong selling them. and I smile when I recognize them on homes throughout the region. Meanwhile our friends from Justice Design Group bought the designs and are now producing and distributing them. Jeff is still a dear, personal friend. He lives in Santa Fe and is writing a screen play.
The design for these unique sconces range from Southwestern (Kokopelli, Bear) to Ocean (Pelicans, waves, dolphins) and desert (Phoenix) with all these motivs there seems to be a Sun Dagger Sconce for everyone.
Not into Kokopellis or dolphins? But looking fort the contemporary, not-in-your-face, subtle wall Light? Choose a Sun Dagger fixture with no pattern. The Sun Daggers will do the trick just on their own!
Even though the Sun Dagger Sconces are available in a large variety of finishes we have chosen for now just to show the most popular one, which is the paintable bisque finish. It is the most economical solution and gives you the opportunity to leave it unfinished or match it to your own color scheme.
