Product Description
This single-feed surface transformer converts standard 120 volt line-voltage to 24 volts to provide the necessary voltage for powering a Kable Lite system. It can power lamps totaling up to 300 watts. The transformer is concealed inside a decorative housing with a fast-acting secondary circuit breaker that will safely turn off the system should a short occur. Once the short has been removed the breaker can be reset. Tip: Add fixtures to account for at least 50% of the maximum wattage the transformer is rated for.
This product can mount to either a standard 4" square electrical box with round plaster ring or an octagon electrical box (not included).
Dimmable with a 600 watt low-voltage magnetic dimmer. The dimmer is placed on the line side of the transformer. (Consult dimmer manufacturer for specifics). This surface transformer includes a preinstalled debuzzing dimming coil to reduce audible noise when using a low-voltage dimmer.
This surface transformer may be plugged in with the addition of a Plug-In Option, a 16 foot cord with inline switch two feet from the plug (sold separately).
24 volt transformers require the use of 24 volt lamps (bulbs).
The shortest rigid standoff that can be used with this surface transformer is the 5" rigid post standoff (sold separately).
