The Remote Transformer: 12v 600w Recessed Dual-Feed Magnetic by Tech Lighting is part of their MonoRail System. This low voltage bendable rail system offers lighting solutions with a unique twist.

This remote magnetic transformer converts standard 120 volt line voltage to 12 volts, providing the necessary voltage for powering a MonoRail, Kable Lite, Wall MonoRail or FreeJack low voltage lighting systems. This transformer can be used to power lamps totaling up to 600 watts, and is equipped with fast-acting secondary circuit breaker that will safely turn off the system should a short occur. Once the short has been removed the breaker can be reset. Tip: Add fixtures to account for at least 50% of the maximum wattage the transformer is rated for. This transformer is recessed into the wall. To simplify installation the transformer should be located no more than 20 feet from the run or power feed. The electrician will need to supply the proper gauge conductor from the transformer to the power feed location based on distance (see voltage drop chart image). Dimmable with a 1000 watt low-voltage magnetic dimmer. The dimmer is placed on the line side of the transformer. (Consult dimmer manufacturer for specifics.) This transformer provides two 300 watt outputs and must be used with a dual-feed canopy or other power feed option (sold separately). 12 volt output transformers require the use of 12 volt lamps (bulbs).
