After having lived with this beautiful as well as incredibly practical torchiere/reading lamp for several years I can only highly recommend it! Three 150Watt halogen bulbs light the torchiere and one 60Watt bulb lights the sidearm. Both are dimmable with the fullrange, turnknob dimmer located conveniently in arm's reach. The torchiere lights up a dark area in our living room and creates a warm, inviting glow, while the sidearm reaches over my favorite chair and provides light just where needed. It is the first light I turn on to create atmosphere in our living room.<BR>While it might seem quite pricey, the quality definitely makes up for it!
