The dimming system “Punkt 1” of this floor lamp by Holtkoetter is not just your runofthemill dimmer. Several features show the meticulous attention to detail proven again and again by Holtkoetter:
The dimming control is located conveniently on the arm of the lamp.<BR>If the lamp gets tipped over, it will switch itself off.<BR>A single click will turn the lamp on, the lamp then gradually brightens to full brightness.<BR>A single click will turn the lamp off with a “Soft Off”: The lamp dims to 60% brightness, remaining at that level to for a bit before gradually turning off (allowing you to safely exit the room.)<BR>If you press and hold the dimmer down the lamp will cycle through all dimming levels. All you need to do is releasing the dimmer when the lamp reaches the desired light level.
