  D: FreeJack Connector (sold separately)

  E: End Caps

  F: Aero Fixture (sold separately)

FA: Bell Accessory (sold separately)

FB: Halogen Lamp (sold separately)

The MonoRail can be hand-bent and formed into simple linear shapes or smooth sinuous curves to enhance architectural detailing or create architectural interest. There are four main components to a Tech Lighting MonoRail system: Transformers, Rail, Hardware, and Elements (fixtures.)

Tech Lighting MonoRail is a low voltage system. It therefore requires a transformer.

There are basically two choices of transformers: remote transformers and surface mounted transformers.
Remote transformers offer a clean, minimal look. They can be placed in a remote, accessible location (within 12 feet of the MonoRail system) and hidden away out of sight, for example in a cabinet. A small ceiling canopy and a power feed are needed to bring power to the MonoRail.
If the MonoRail is replacing a ceiling fixture and a junction box is available directly over the rail, a surface transformer is a good solution. The surface transformer will cover the existing junction box and bring power to the rail. No extra ceiling canopy or power feed are needed with the surface canopy.

You need to determine, how much light is needed before you select the wattage of your transformer. Tech Lighting offers transformers with 150W, 300W and 600W.
Most fixtures take a 50W lamp, so with a 300W transformer you can power six fixtures with 50 watt lamps. If you want to use additional fixtures, you can use a lower wattage in all your fixtures.
You can mix and match track heads with pendants on your MonoRail.

Your MonoRail system is safe to the touch. However, bulbs and metal and glass parts will become hot. You can adjust the pendants and track heads by grasping coated handles and cords.

MonoRail can be bent both horizontally and vertically, allowing an installation to run across the ceiling and down the wall. Clean, sharp bends can be achieved with flexible connectors.

The rail is available in 2’, 4’ and 8’ sections. MonoRail can easily be bent and cut to your desired length on site.

You can connect several rails to form long runs.
Tip: Position the stand-offs that extend the rail from the ceiling directly over the seams where rails have been joined for a cleaner look.

MonoRail can be dropped from the ceiling with rigid or flexible stand-offs to bring the light just where you need it.
Rigid stand-offs come in a variety of lengths up to 96” and for longer drops flexible stand-offs are available. They will drop the rail to 30’ below the ceiling.

You will also need power feeds in the suitable length to bring power to the rail.

MonoRail kits are the easiest way to order MonoRail. Each kit comes with everything you need for most basic installations. You can customize the MonoRail kits with drop as well as extender options

MonoRail Drop Options drop the MonoRail run farther down from the ceiling. MonoRail Extender Options add an additional 8' to your MonoRail run.
