Black, Rust, Natural iron and other opaque finishes have been the traditional choice for coloring metal and protecting it from rusting and marring.  With the advent of new powder-coating technology, the ability to expand beyond the opaque finishes has evolved.  During the past two years, we have introduced transclucent finishes of Dark Smoke and Bronze.  This year, Mahogany debuts as a replacement to the opaque Rust finish.

Mahogany, Bronze and Dark Smoke represent our developing concentration on semi-transparent powder coated finishes.  Unlike the full covering of the opaque finishes, these semi-transparent finishes provide a window through to the metal beneath, allowing the full story to be told of how the piece was cut, bent, drawn or fired.  It shows the full effects of the forces of heat, hammer and die upon the metal.
