Tech Lighting Otto

The Otto pendant by Tech Lighting is a new introduction.
I really enjoyed all the unique colors it comes in – and ordered all of them for our showroom at the recent Dallas Market. It was just too hard to choose!!
The Otto pendant  has a wonderful hand-etched, mouth blown outer transparent glass shade with an inner glass diffuser.
The outer blown glass is hand-etched after it has cooled. Its inner white glass helps diffuse the light and adds depth to the fixture without washing out the color of the transparent outer glass.
A sophisticated, well-balanced addition to a variety of rooms.

The Zonix Ceiling Fan from Fanimation has a simple and straightforward design that is refreshing.

The cylindrical body and the three narrow blades make this contemporary ceiling fan appear less bulky than most fans.
The different finishes and blade choices give a variety of interesting combinations options.

“7 Off the Wall’ is a a quirky new wall light from the Lucellino family by Ingo Maurer.
A  flok of winged bulbs are taking flight, creating this whimsical wall light that was recently introduced at Euroluce in Milan.

I WANT ONE!!!

On a recent trip to Bern, Switzerland I saw the incredible floor lamp, Cosmic Leaf by Artemide for the first time “in the flesh”. What a beauty!!!
It is one of these lights, where you just have to step closer and even reach out and touch, because it seems unreal.  The fluid form of Cosmic Leaf  is illuminated from a light source in the base that brushes over the meshed skin and makes it glow with an ethereal light.

Ingo Maurer 24 Karat Blau

The 24 karat series is constructed of metal, plastic and gold leaf sealed in plastic .

The genuine gold leaf is beaten to a thickness of 1/10.000 mm (corresponding to 1.000 atomic layers), allowing short-wave blue light to pass through. Yellow-gold light is reflected, giving the inner surface of the lamp a gold appearance when lit while the outer surface is blue.
The shades on this unique pendant light can be arranged in various shapes and angles for a look unique to its owner.

Ingo Maurer Knueller

On my recent visit to the Ingo Maurer showroom in Munich I took this photo of the creative Knueller floor lamp by Team Ingo Maurer

The concept is so amazing: Crumbled up paper within a wire cage – and the result is so unique and beautiful!

The Tech Lighting Fire Onyx pendants are made from the real thing: beautiful Onyx that makes the light glow. The direct downlight illuminates the workspace with plenty of light for chores and fun.

The Clark pendant light from Wilmette is for sure a charming fixture.  It has a simple cylindrical shade accented by traditional hardware.
In this fixture it’s actually almost as much the bulb as the fixture itself that is responsible for the unique look .
Carbon-filament bulbs like those recommended for this pendant  unfortunately only offer 1/3 the light at 10 times the price of standard bulbs, but there is no question that they make the fixture uniquely beautiful.  The light from these bulbs is a warm, romantic glow, almost like candle light.

A  bold design statement

I really like it how the Tech Lighting Powell Street fixture works in this kitchen. The orange interior adds a splash of color and picks up the color from the chairs. The spun aluminum exterior has a crisp, contemporary feel.  It’s nice to see a large scale light over an island for a change. Makes a bold statement.
