Uto by Foscarini is a multipurpose indoor and outdoor light, a floor lamp, a pendant, that can be hooked, draped or shaped to fit your need. It is made of a silicone rubber previously not used in the lighting sector, but primarily in the automobile industry. This material is soft to the touch, shock-resistant and practically indestructible.
A polycarbonate diffuser softens the light and protects the socket and bulb from bumps and scrapes and the elements.

Designed by two young designers who wanted to see a pendant light that did not consist of the conventional cord plus shade, it was taken into production by Foscarini in 2005.
