Don’t Do This At Home!

Took this  photo in the Eszterháza palace in Fertőd close to Sopron. Ok, I know it, I should be admiring the beauty around me (and I was!) but this chandelier just made me cringe.  I’m all for going green, and I’m sure the intentions were noble, but using clunky CFLs in a beautiful antique chandelier is in my opinion overdoing it.
The flat light of the CFLs does nothing for the gorgeous crystals, no sparkle!

We need sparkle in our lives!
