The table lamp "Heaven and Earth"  was designed in 1998 by Elizabeth Meredith for Fire Farm.  Illuminated silk panels float above a bed of river rocks.  The light it casts is suitable and bright, but soft. 

This series offers many options:  A Floor Lamp, Pendant in three sizes, Chandelier and a Swing Arm Sconce.  If you are looking for contemporary table lamps and floor lamps with a soft side and an organic feel these lamps might be your choice.
