The Glo-Ball series of lighting fixtures and lamps was designed by Jasper Morrison for Flos in 1999. 
This contemporary pendant light  has character and a strong presence without shouting for attention. It provides the ultimate diffused light with no harsh shadows.  When unlit it takes on a strong sculptural element.
The minimalist hand blown glass diffuser appears to float in space. It is made from acid-etched flashed opaline glass that guarantees perfect light diffusion.

Further examples from the glo-ball family include pendants and table lamps as well as ceiling or wall sconces.

The Glo-Ball Suspension lamp is available in two sizes.

Size:  S1 (small): 12.9" diameter x 116" total max. ht. x 5.1" at ceiling. 
S2 (large): 17.7" W x 116" total max. ht. x 5.1" at ceiling.
Both include 16' cord.
