The Costanza by Luceplan celebrates its 20th Anniversary. The design icon has run through different styles and eras without changing, always appropriate, up-to-date and elegant.
In 1986 Paolo Rizzatto's design transformed the world of lighting. The traditional lampshade, consisting, until then, of a heavy, stationary base and a cloth or glass shade, was reinvented using completely innovative materials.
A simple polycarbonate diffuser, a slender aluminium stem and a sensorial dimmer switch all work towards the formal reduction of the archetype of lighting, to create a new lightweight harmony.
The international success of the lamp results from the shift between tradition and technology and from its extraordinary ability to give a warm, intimate and welcoming light.
