Like all Danish families (almost) we had Le Klint lamps in our home. I love the intricate, yet simple design and the soft, diffused light these unique pendants provide. Now in our adobe home in New Mexico they fit right in, and are practical as well! With the Southwestern dust it is a blessing to have shades that can be removed in seconds, hosed down in the bathtub and put back up. That to me is Form + Function + more...! Designed in Denmark by Poul Christiansen this hand pleated pendant is made of a color-stabilized white PVC that is both anti-static and washable. It comes in three sizes. An impressive list of competentand well-reputed Danish designers and architects have developed Le Klint shades and lamps throughout the years. There is no doubt that this is one of the explanations why Le Klint lamps are considered "modern classics". This model of pendant lamps from Le Klint is a true modern classic. It was designed by Kaare Klint in 1944 for Le Klint. All Le Klint shades are made from a color stabilized white PVC which is completely washable and anti-static. 5 feet of white cord are included.
