We love the fans by the Modern Fan Company, not only because of the beautiful designs and the craftsmanship, but because of the impeccable attention to detail and customer service the Modern Fan Co has to offer.

These are contemporary ceiling fans that are not just trendy and fit for the Jetsons, but fans that will become modern classics.  Although its design shows reference to ancient greek columns, the Flute ceiling fan is modern in every respect.

The vertical orientation of the die-cast body allows an optional but integral light, using an incandescent or a 26-watt compact fluorescent lamp.  The fluorescent light is ideal for commercial uses as the lamp lasts at least 10,000 hours & uses 75% less energy than equivalent incandescent bulbs.

The Flute is all die-cast zinc alloy and is offered in gloss white, textured nickel or dark bronze finish.  Blades are available in white, black, nickel, mahogany, or maple finishes.

The motor is a high power silicon steel unit with 18 poles, designed for long life and cool running, and is controlled by two capacitors.  The Flute motor can run at any of three speeds set by the control.  Several switching and control options for both speed and light control (sold separately below).
