Designed in the early 1950's by Isamu Noguchi, the Akari Light Sculptures are considered icons of 1950's modern design.  The paper lanterns are a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese handcraft and contemporary form.

They are made from handmade washi paper and bamboo ribbing, supported by a metal frame.

Basic assembly is required and instructions are included.
