Designed by Isamu Noguchi in the early 1950's, the Akari paper lanterns are a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese handcraft and modernist form.  The lamps are made from handmade washi paper and bamboo ribbing supported by a metal frame.

There is basic assembly required with instructions included.
