Lamp Shade Bubble Pendant
Product #: MOD-LAMPSHADE Manufacturer: The Bubble Lamps by George Nelson let a diffused light shine through their textures surface, adding visual interest and a source of ambient light. George Nelson (1908-1986) was, together with Charles & Ray Eames, one of the founding fathers of American modernism. In 1947, George Nelson discovered a translucent webbing material used to preserve ships. He realized that it would be perfect to create organically shaped pendant light. He created a large glowing sphere and named it the Bubble Lamp. Later George Nelson made many variations to the original shape. These include Saucer, Ball, Cigar, Apple, Pear, Criss Cross, Lantern and Propeller. In addition to pendant lights, the George Nelson Bubble Lamp collection now includes desk lamps, wall sconces and floor lamps which are all exclusively manufactured by Modernica. Certain styles of the Bubble Lamp are available in different sizes, therefore please check dimensions carefully. Lamp: 150W Max Size: Extra Large: H28 x Dia41.5 Shade: translucent white webbing
